Pasadena Wine Festival: October 9 – 301 North Baldwin Ave., Arcadia
This weekend marks the return of the Pasadena Wine Festival which is being held out at the LA County Arboretum. This year’s festival features tastings of various wines from around the world, live entertainment, and a large common grounds area where you and your friends can enjoy a game of Bocci Ball, Horse Shoes, and Ultimate Golf. Tickets start at $28 and will be on sale until the day of the event.
Brewery Artwalk: October 9-10 – 2100 North Main St., Downtown
This weekend this artist community located at the former brewery will open its doors in their bi-annual art walk. The event features works from a number of talented artists put on display for view and sale, all at studio prices. Admission is free as well as parking, and the event will be going on from 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
LA Beer Week: October 7-10 – LA Area
This weekend kicks off LA Beer Week, a celebration of all things beer, which features a variety of events going on at local bars, restaurants, breweries all across town. While there are a number of events joining in on the festivities this weekend’s main event will be going down at the Westside Tavern. Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor: October 8-10 – 1126 Queen’s Highway., Long Beach
Also kicking off this weekend is the Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor Halloween Event. The entire ship and seaport will be transformed into a haunted area, which features mazes, monsters at every turn, special effects, and live music. Tickets start $35 and parking is $15. Arcade Fire: October 7-8 – Shrine Auditorium 700 W. 32ndSt. Los Angeles
This weekend’s musical act to catch is The Arcade Fire, playing at the Shrine Auditorium. The Montreal based indie pop group has made a rapid ascent from obscure experimental hipster band to mainstream indie juggernauts. They will be making a rather rare stop in LA for a two night engagement so be sure to check them out.
Caruso Concours d’Elegance: October 10 – The Americana at Brand 889 Americana Way., Glendale
This Sunday, The Petersen Automotive Museum will be putting on an exciting car show featuring a look back at some of the most fascinating rides from the pre- World War II Era. Some of the most rare and exotic cars will be featured at this event.
Mario Lopez’ Birthday: October 9 – The Americana at Brand 889 Americana Way., Glendale
Come out and party like its 1993, as the former Saved by the Bell star is having a birthday celebration being put on by The Americana in Glendale. Once there you can play ping pong, try a Celcius beverage, and even try to get on TV as Extra will be on hand to capture the celebration. Admission is free and the event will be going on from 12:00PM – 2:00PM.
