The beer industry has been going through some changes over the past couple decades and many consider it a good change. This change is the growth of micro-breweries and the ever expanding selection of craft beers. There seems to be a big demand for beers of all different blends and tastes so the city of Los Angeles will be having its 3rd Annual Beer Week Festival. The festival will run from October 10th through the 23rd and presale tickets will start at $45 which includes unlimited 4 oz pours of beer. This year the festival will feature over 70 local, regional, national and international craft and Artisan Breweries. There will be some rare beers and some beers that are specially made just for LA Beer Week.
The official La Beer Week will kick off on October 10, 2011 at Naja’s Place in Redondo Beach. The event will feature Stone Brewery Company which will have over 40+ beers on tap and have a book signing as well as Q & A session and food provided by Stone Catering. There will be events all throughout the festival including beer crawls, bbq, an Oktoberfest and brewery nights so check the calendar each day for listings. Of course on the 23rd is the main event and in addition to all the great beer there will be some of LA’s finest gourmet food trucks on hand, a local artisan cheesemaker, a local chocolatier, and a local artisan coffee roaster.
The LA Beer Week Festival will take place at the Historic Union Station in Los Angeles. There will an amazing selection of breweries that will be in attendance so for a complete listing check here. The food is not included in the price but there are special designated driver tickets for $5 at the gate so you can bring your non drinking partner to take you home. If you love beer this should be a fun event so brink your designated driver and enjoy.
