The 4th of July is a hump day this year and there’s plenty going on in Los Angeles if you’re staying in hotels close to Hollywood Bowl. From barbeque to live music to fireworks, each celebration has a ton to offer the whole family. Read below for details on these events!
If you want to celebrate Independence Day the traditional way, with great music, the Air Force and fireworks, head to Burbank for the Starlight Bowl. You’ll see a flyover from the United States Air Force, the Presentation of Colors, and the induction of new enlistees, which will truly make you feel like an American. Musical performances include United States Air Force Technical Sergeant Oscar G. Lopez Jr. singing the national anthem, Stone Soul with the Burbank Philharmonic Orchestra, the Red Chair School of Performing Arts and a few surprises. Celebrate the 4th of July with American pop icon Barry Manilow at the Hollywood Bowl! This popular event is a Los Angeles tradition. Manilow will celebrate our nation’s birthday with his many hits, patriotic music and fireworks. If July 4th isn’t a good day for you, you can also watch this celebration on Monday, July 2 and Tuesday, July 3, also at 7:30pm. Tickets are available from $20.50 to $234. Join CBS, the Childen’s Tumor Foundation and Studio City at the 14th Annual Fireworks Festival! Bands Petty Theft (a tribute to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers), Arc Handbell Choir and Rhythm Section will provide musical entertainment. There will also be kid’s activities, food, and of course fireworks. Doors close at 8pm so be sure to get there early! Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children and free for those 5 and under.
