Comic book fans, LA has a great day in store for you! On March 4, the Los Angeles Comic Book and Science Fiction Convention will celebrate its 35th Anniversary. Celebrated only on three days in 2012, the Convention is a celebration of comic book artists, upcoming movies and great merchandise.
Harry Potter actor Tom Felton will be signing autographs from 11am to 4pm at the Convention. He is promoting his upcoming role in The Apparition, and past work in Rise of the Planet of the Apes. There is a $30 charge for Tom’s autograph, which includes your choice of photo. You also have the opportunity to pose with Tom for a photographer for only $10 more. Other celebrities present will include artists Mike Kazaleh, Corinna Sara Bechko and Gabriel Hardman, plus actors Vernon Wells and Eric Walker.
There will also be a dealer’s room as standard at these conventions, full of comic collectibles. This is the place to shop around, compare prices and get the best deals. DVDs, Star Wars merchandise, action figures, Hot Wheels, and much more will be sold at the dealer’s room.
Since 1977, there have been over 350 Comic Book and Science Fiction Conventions in the US. Past guests have included Jessica Biel, Keanu Reeves, Jackie Chan, Christian Bale, Jessica Alba and many other celebrities. In the past, there have been previews for upcoming movies, and an anime festival. Future 2012 dates of this convention include May 6.
Admission to the show is only $8. The convention is located at the Shrine Auditorium Expo Center, 700 West 32nd St, in Los Angeles by the USC campus.
