If you’re not fortunate enough to partake in this weekend’s Sunset Strip Music Festival or HARD Summer downtown LA, you’re in luck because the weekend of August 24 and 25 brings another fun outdoor festival to the Los Angeles area. FYF Fest will take place at L.A. State Historic Park downtown Los Angeles – a quick Metro ride from hotels near downtown LA!
The festival is unique in that it brings not only musicians and live bands but comedians! The outdoor event will take place downtown over a stretch of a grassy park area with ample room for booths, vendors, entertainment, not to mention room to stretch out and take a break from the loud stages if you ever need to rest! Tickets for the entire weekend pass are still available and can be purchased here. Recently announced is that if you already purchased a ticket, it can be upgraded to a VIP ticket for just a small additional cost. VIP includes full bar, private toilets, couches, tents, and exclusive food trucks! Definitely some great amenities there and worth it if you are attending the festival the entire weekend! The festival will start at 2:30pm both Saturday and Sunday and run until 12:00am both nights.
The lineup will bring about both rock fans and electronic music fans alike. Some of the best headliners are as follows: My Bloody Valentine, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TV On The Radio, MGMT, and Beach House. Other acts will also perform throughout the weekend, such as Flag, Deerhunter, Solange, Yo La Tengo, Simian Mobile Disco, Foxygen, and so many more! For the full lineup, visit the FYF Fest Lineup page. This festival, unique because it brings in comedians, will include comedians Doug Benson, Paul Scheer, Rob Huebel, Brendon Small, and many more up & coming funny people.
This event is sure to bring an exciting weekend to all attendees and luckily travel expenses will be at a minimum if you are already in the City of Angels! Have fun outdoors this summer listening to great live music!
