At Universal Studios, this holiday season is being celebrated in very special style: Grinchmas. Offering a selection of ‘Wholiday’ joy and fun for family members of all ages, there are numerous opportunities to take part in this unique festive treat. Join the Grinch himself and his faithful companion Max the dog to see the sights and sounds of the holiday season. At the Backlot Whobilation, see the Whos dance their way through Whoville as they sing their holiday songs and recreate those favorite memories from the movies. Plus, the 60 foot tall Grinchmas tree will be decorated in lights and baubles creating perfect photo opportunities! The whole park is decorated for the season, which is truly a sight to remember. If you’re staying near Universal Studios this holiday season, then bring the whole family to enjoy the Grinchmas.
As part of the ’13 Days of Grinchmas’ event which forms the centerpiece of the holiday celebrations, between December 19th and the 31st a range of TV and Hollywood celebrities will be coming to the Studios to make special star readings from ‘Dr Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas.’ With Dule Hill, Timothy Omundson, Corbin Bernsen and Kirsten Nelson from ‘PSYCH’, star of ‘Heroes’ James Kyson Lee, Jayde Nichole of ‘The Hills,’ Daniel Franzese from ‘Mean Girls,’ ‘90210’ star Shenae Grimes, Jennifer Stone from ‘Wizards of Waverly Place,’ Cheryl Burke from ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and Adrienne Frantz of ‘The Young and the Restless,’ family favorites will be creating unique accents to showcase Dr Seuss’ famous characters. Each reading session starts at 4:45pm most dates during the ’13 Days of Grinchmas’ and will be taking place next to the Grinchmas tree. In its Winter Wonderland, with real snow and the whimsical decorations taken from Whoville itself, this is a Christmas celebration like none other.
In addition to meeting Cindy Lou Who, the Grinch and other favorites, the ’13 Days of Grinchmas’ will also allow fans of the films to see some of the original movie sets as part of the behind the scenes Studio Tour.
