Los Angeles is known as one of the cities with the best reputation for food anywhere in the world. With cafes, restaurants and vendors providing cuisine on an international level, from street food staples through to elegant fine dining, there is something for everyone. The dineLA Restaurant Week is perhaps the pinnacle of food celebrations in the city. Since it began in 2008, dineLA Restaurant Week has become a high point of the calendar, allowing residents and visitors alike the opportunity to visit some of the city’s best eating establishments and to try something a little different. Running between January 20th through to the 31st, over the course of the twelve days all participating restaurants are offing a range of unique ‘prix fixe’ menus at both lunch and dinner hours. The aim of the dineLA Restaurant Week is to create a platform for both locals and tourists to experience the full diversity of dining around Hollywood.
The ‘prix fixe’ menus created for the event run the full spectrum of food options, with local organic ingredients, extravagant international flair and unusual wine pairings all creating this special event. Lunch menus are priced between $15 and $25, with dinner menu options starting from $25. Restaurants are grouped into categories – Deluxe, Premier, and Fine Dining – with their menu pricing set according to that standard. New for the next dineLA Restaurant Week this January are the Tasting Menus on offer in several of the participating restaurants, including at Melisse, Valentino, Mar’sel and Patina, at around $85 per person. With all of the restaurants involved in the celebratory week, advance booking of tables is strongly recommended, particularly for evening parties or weekend dates. Reservations will ensure that visitors are able to enjoy their experience in every way. With more than one hundred restaurants participating, everyone is sure to find the food they love.
