Los Angeles has many outdoor movie screening venues in the summer. Now that it is winter, the Electric Dusk Drive-In has stepped in as a venue to screen classic movies in Downtown Los Angeles. The movie schedule is up, with two classics screening every month until the end of August. Here are the upcoming films:
March 23 @ 7:30pm – Clockwork Orange
April 6 @ 7:30pm – Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
April 27 @ 8pm – GoodFellas
May 11 @ 8:30pm – Alien
May 26 @ 8:30pm – All About Eve
June 6 @ 8:30pm – To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything
June 22 @ 8:30pm – Office Space
July 13 @ 8:30pm – The Princess Bride
July 27 @ 8:30pm – E.T.
August 17 @ 8:30pm – Minority Report
August 31 @ 8pm – Vertigo
Outdoor Astroturf seats are available close to the screen. You can mingle with fellow movie-goers and listen to the audio through our outdoor speakers. Limited parking is available on the first level of the parking garage for Astroturf patrons. Otherwise you can park in the lot next door or look for street parking. There is a Snack Shack available with food such as hot dogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, candy, chips, beverages, and giant brownie stuffed chocolate chip cookies. Snack Shack Carhops appreciate tips!
The drive-in is located at 240 W. 4th Street between Broadway and Spring on the right side of the street, on the 2nd floor of the parking structure. Tickets are $10 per person when bought in advance online. At the door tickets are $13 cash. Tickets to Family Night at the Drive-In are $7 in advance or $8 at the door. Be sure to plan ahead and get tickets online early as they are limited!
