Halloween is a great time to be taking advantage of hotel specials in Hollywood! There are many attractions and free celebrations to get into the Halloween spirit. If you’re in town this month, you can catch the Hollywood Museum’s famous “Dungeon of Doom” exhibit. The exhibit includes sets, props and costumes from Hollywood’s scariest film and television programs.
Come to the Hollywood Museum to get up close and personal with villains Freddy Krueger from “Nightmare on Elm Street,” Michael Myers from “Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers,
Jason Vorhees from “Friday the 13th”, Chucky from “Child’s Play” and the Crypt Keeper from “Takes from the Crypt.”
You can also walk through Hannibal Lector’s jail cell to relive the terror of “Silence of the Lambs.” Movie props from popular films “The Exorcist,” “The Birds,” “Psycho,” “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” “Phantom of the Opera,” ‘The Mummy,” “Quills,” “Darkman III: Die Darkman Die,” “Hell Night,” “Uncle Sam,” and “Van Helsing” will be on display. TV props from your favorite shows “Dexter” and “The Walking Dead” will also be part of the exhibit.
The Hollywood Museum also has permanent exhibits on “I Love Lucy,” Michael Jackson, Elizabeth Taylor and more. As the official museum of Hollywood, it has the most extensive collection of Hollywood memorabilia in the world. There are four floors of costumes, props, photographs, scripts, car collections, artifacts, posters and much more. You can also learn about the history of Hollywood and its Walk of Fame at the museum.
Adult tickets are $15. Senior and student tickets are only $12. Children under 5 will be admitted for only $5. The Hollywood Museum will also accept CITY PASS and Go Los Angeles Pass.
