When you think of art usually Los Angeles does not come to mind. Well the city of Los Angeles wants to change that. In case you have not been up to par on your Los Angeles art history (and we all are right?) they are having their 16th annual art show. Yes that’s right 16years, and those sixteen years have paid off. The Los Angeles Art Show is now considered by many to be a premier art fair destination to see beautiful works of art from all over the world and of course local artist. Many of the Hollywood’s elite come here to view and appreciate the fine works of art and admire the diversity that the show brings each year. This year is no different and for a limited time you can see them at the LA Convention Center.
This year looks to bring some pretty exciting works. Ok so exciting is not a word usually associated with art but the LAAS this year will be a showcase for works from Asia, Latin and South America. Many of these art works such as the ones from China have never been displayed outside of China. China Today gives you an insight into the modern and contemporary feel of China’s visual art and climate. There is also the Sisters Cities of Los Angeles International Art Exhibition, Vox Humana, Flora Kao’s Ghost Grove presented by the Los Angeles Art Association and rare photo collections by Henri Cartier-Bresson. There is so much more to see here with works from over 100 domestic and international galleries, you really have to come down and experience it for yourself.
