Blackstreet was one of the top and most famous R&B groups of the 90s and they are back again for 90s Night Out. Blackstreet was founded by singer and producer, Teddy Riley. Their hit song “Before I Let You Go” made it on the top 5 hit list on the R&B charts. It wasn’t until 1996 when they truly got their fan base with the pop smash hit, “No Diggity” featuring Dr. Dre. Jagged Edge is a male vocal quartet heralding from Atlanta, Georgia. The group consists of twin brothers Brandon and Brian Casey, Kyle Norman, and Richard Wingo. Their first album reached the Top 20 R&B charts and some of their hit singles include, “Gotta Be”, “He Can’t Love U”, and “Let’s Get Married.”
K-Ci and JoJo is a romantic R&B duo consisting of brothers Cedric and Joel Hailey. They grew up singing in church choirs in Charlotte, North Carolina. Their debut album was in 1997 and the hit single, “You Bring Me Up” was on the top ten R&B. After 7 is a trio hailing from Indianapolis. The group consists of brothers Melvin and Kevon Edmonds and their friend Keith Mitchell. They sing vintage soul songs, as well as being involved with urban styles and modern new jack. Their songs “Can’t Stop” and “Heat of the Moment” were instant hits. Shai was formed by fraternity brothers from Howard University. Three out of the four members were all in Alpha Phi Alpha. Their single, “If I ever Fall in Love” made it all the way to #2 in the US and their next album went double platinum. These are all talented artists that you won’t want to miss.
