If you’re staying in hotels in Los Angeles this weekend, you’ll be able to attend the 19th annual Los Feliz Village Street Fair happening on Sunday. The street fair celebrates the community of Los Feliz, at the base of Griffith Park. Two stages will host music, dancers and circus acts on Hollywood Boulevard, which will be closed between Hillhurst Avenue and Vermont Avenue. Last year approximately 20,000 people celebrated in Los Feliz last year.
Yelp is the official sponsor for this year’s street fair. Vendors will have booths situated on Hollywood Boulevard for visitors to peruse. Food from Los Feliz will be available at the fair, including Best Fish Taco in Ensenada, Fred 62, Jamba Juice, Paradis, and many more. For a full list click here.
The Street Fair was started in the early ‘90s by a few restaurant owners who wanted to thank the community for their patronage with samples. It has grown into a web of local shop and restaurant owners, artists and musicians celebrating a diverse Los Angeles community. In the past, talented performers such as Inara George of The Bird and The Bee and Jazz0man Eli Brueggemann, now musical director of Saturday Night Live have entertained at the Los Feliz Street Fair and gone on to gain national recognition.
